SUN WUKONG
OF THE DAY

Posts are canonical depictions (true-to-lore), fan-made/media depictions, or characters inspired by Sun Wukong (even if in appearance only, or as an easter egg/cosmetic).

Each post will include the character's name (if different) in English + Chinese (if applicable), pronouns, source material, images, and any other fun information! Submission will be credited if credit is due.

I will try to post daily, but may forget/be too busy! I may also need hiatuses. Therefore, this account is more "Sun Wukong every time I remember he exists"- which is still very often.

Characters must be: a canonical (true-to-lore/JTTW) depiction of Sun Wukong, a Sun Wukong depiction of media, fan-made depiction of Sun Wukong, and/or an indirect character loosely inspired by Wukong in appearance/personality/qualities!

Only submit characters if my submissions are open (check my bio)

Submissions are sent through my DM inbox.

You may submit your own Sun Wukong designs, if you're an artist! They must be original to you.

I keep a list of all the media i've found wukong in; I have a lot of them, so odds are i already have your submission listed! I'll let you know if your submission is recorded in my list, or posted already!

Submissions should include the character's full name in English (and Chinese if applicable), pronouns, the source material, whether you want to be tagged or anonymous; and images, if you'd like your images to be in the post (optional, I can also find my own!)

Do not submit characters from NSFW sources (I won't always check source materials submitted- please let me know if a source material is NSFW).

Do not submit characters from highly problematic/offensive material- I will not post any offensive/racist depictions. Please let me know if any source material or depictions are inherently harmful, if I accidentally post any.

Submissions will be posted in order of them being submitted.

My name is Valentine/Cas! I use any pronouns, and some neopronouns! I'm a 21 year old transmasc butch, and an undergraduate in art education. I'm an animator and artist!

I'm autistic+ADHD with a very strong interest in LEGO Monkie Kid- and, by proxy, Journey to the West! I consider myself a JTTW scholar and indulge in JTTW study and adjacent studies whenever I have the time to.

I am not chinese, and strive to be as respectful and true to depicting Chinese culture as possible. Please let me know if anything I say, do, or post is inherently offensive/insensitive/disrespectful to Chinese culture. I am always open-minded to changing my mindset, behavior, and perspective; and will always put Chinese voices above my own when it comes to appreciating the culture.
